A day of firsts

Today I cooked roast beef for the first time. Thanx to my slow cooker. Yummy!

Also today I put Evan to bed and he came out again saying something about peeing. So I thought alright I'll change his diaper, but it wasn't wet. So I asked him if he wanted to use the potty and he said yes. I've asked him before and sat him on it and nothing happened but this time he actually peed. This is a very sad, because my baby is growing up and a very happy thing cause it means I won't have to change his diaper for to much longer the end is in sight.

Realization

Today it just came to me that a lot of the people that I know who have children about 16 months apart are into some kind of teaching thing. I know of 4 people besides myself who have this in common. Three of them are teaching or have thought in a professional capacity, and the other one is going though school to be a teacher.

This is kinda funny because any of the aptitude/personality tests that I have taken have said that I should be a teacher. Jeremy also said this once.

I think that it must be more than a coincidence. God knows what you can handle and I guess "teacher kinda people" can handle this, maybe more than other. Or maybe we just don't protect ourselves good enough, Or maybe both.

Not much up

I'm going to watch a movie right now, but thought maybe I should put a little post up.

Oh a book that Jeremy contributed to is coming out on the 25th and we got about 20 odd copies yesterday. I read a bit of it yesterday and it's really good especially since it's a business book.

Ouch

I had to take Evan to the hospital today. He fell on toy and split his lip. He got one stitch and it really hurt him. That stuff is really brutal , but I guess at least he won't have a scar on his lip.

They gave him a little stuffed monster, he calls it cookie monster. I hope he doesn't hate hospitals for the rest of his life.

Counting

Just the other day Evan counted to 10. It was pretty cool, he was going about doing what he does and he count all the way to 10. I wasn't sure at first cause all I heard was 7 8 9 10. But then the next day he taking some coaster out of a pile and he did it again AND I heard it all 1 -10. There were only 6 coaster so I know that he doesn't grasp the whole concept, but I still thought it was pretty amazing.

Today while waiting for me to go outside Evan decided to do a handstand against the door here's what it looked like.

Beep Fire truck Bed

So Evan got a new bed just this weekend and he loves it. The first night he ran right to his room when it was time for bed and jumped into bed.
