Birthdays.....awww

It's almost my birthday and ever since I met Jeremy I have really looked forward to my birthday. He is the best at doing the birthday thing(at least for me). He always spoils me and it's always a surprise. One year he told me we were going roller blading with some friends. He blind folded me and we ended up at Niagra on the Lake. It was so much fun. We ended up biking to Niagra Falls and back. Fun stuff. He almost always take me out to diner someplace I haven't been and last year he got me a gift certificate for a manicure, pedicure, massage, and facial. I'd never done anything like it and it was great. Especially after having our first child and needing some serious self time.

I like my Daddy

Lately I've been noticing that Evan gets really excited when his Daddy is around. It's fun to watch. I think that his little world is expanding. When we are both home and in different room he will continually go from the room that daddy's in to the room that I'm in. It's nice, not so much pressure on me being "the only one in his world".

Things I didn't know that I was missing.

I didn't realise that I was missing out on sooo many things until I had my son, Evan a year and a bit ago.

It's so amazing how one little person can brighten up your life, not that my life was bad before. I was just realizing today that I smile alot more at things around my house than I used to. And it's all because of something that Evan has done or is doing. For Example this morning he was very busy transporting things from one room to another. It is not unusual now to find our alarm clock in the kitchen, or the TV remote in the computer room. Some people might find this annoying, but I just see it as him learn stuff.

I know that God had blessed us huge in giving us a child, but I don't think that I realized how much, and I probably still don't. The blessing that keeps on blessing!

The first and maybe the only.

Well, my husband Jer(from ensight) had been trying to get me to start blogging for a while now. I guess the idea has been eating at me so I thought that I would try it out. One of the reasons is to see how long it will take him to find out that I've started with out me telling him. Just for curiousities sake.

Sooo, my name is Shannon Wright, I have a wonderful husband named Jeremy, and Great son named Evan and we are expecting our second child in Nov. I resently moved from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to Winnipeg, Manitba, Canada. Something that I wouldn't recommand anyone do especially in the winter.

I think that enough for now and we'll see how long this lasts.
