Sleepless in Winnipeg
So It's 4 o'clock in the morning and I can't sleep. Thankfully I haven't had to many of these nights so far and I only have about 6 more weeks to go. That is until the baby comes and then I'll be waking up for a purpose instead of just cause I can't sleep.
Jer and I were talking about all the "not so nice" things that happened when Evan first arrived. I had forgotten most of the awful "I never want to do that again" experiences, like having so much trouble with breast feeding, apparently the nurse in the hospital wasn't very helpful. And how Evan had to be in the nursery for the first bit while I got a little better and could take care of him. Oh and the "Oh my God, I can't stand up" event where 5 nurses rushed to the bathroom, as I had collapsed.
I'm looking forward to a more "normal" experience this time. One where the baby can stay with me and doesn't have to have a bottle and glucose water, where I don't feel like falling over when I stand cause my blood pressure is way bad. A lack of forceps in the delivery probably wouldn't be bad either.
Poor Jeremy, he had it really bad last time and there was nothing anyone could so to help. He remembers Everything. I was a little numb about almost everything. I guess that's what happens when you have an epidural and end up losing a ton of blood.
